Pirate is one of the very few small pony type registered Curly stallion in the word. We bought him from Ellen Bancroft of Bancroft Curlies & Miniatures Horses located in Washington State. His first son, *Pirate Little Buccaneer EB was bought by Lene Jensen in Norway as a pony stud so Pirate has now some grandkids that speak Norwegian !

Pirate is a tall (very tall!) horse in a tiny pony body. He thinks that he is - at least - as tall as Passion and it is very funny to see him challenging the others big guys through the fence. Pirate is also very sweet and very wiling to please. He is not the "horse in a pocket" type and for this aspect, he looks like Chimo a lot. But when he trusts you, he works hard to please you and he will leave you do all what you want with him.

With his flashy color, his curls, his blue eye and his wonderful movement, you can't miss him when you come to the Ranch. He is the one, with his 2 girls, who take care of the back garden mowing and he is always ready for a treat, even from strangers hands!

Pirates belongs very well with the other horses. He likes to play with his buddies, Taz, Mister or Chimo even with his pony mares (the mares let him think that he is the boss, they are really sweet!)

Status : broodmare and school horse

Cachou is a very cute pony mare with more of a horse shape than a pony one. She has very beautiful blonde highlight in her mane, one blue eye and fading dark legs. She is well trained under saddle and we use her also for driving. She is fast and elegant and we reserve her for the intermediate level rider because beginners could be afraid by her fast walk.

Cachou is not a Curly and she is not hypo-allergenic. But we expect that the babies that she will have by Pirate will be hypo-allergenic as well. Small Curly pony mares are not easy to find (it seems that there is less than 25 Curly ponies under 12hh known in the word...) so we had to find an alternative. Curly coated or not, Pirate loves his mares!

Status : broodmare and school horse.

Chouiya is the archetype of the pony: quick learner, intelligent, sweet, mischievous, short on her legs with a huge and thick blonde mane. She is cute and the kids adore her!

We named her after the arabic word "chouiya" that means "a little bit" or "a very small amount", because she is our smallest one here, so she is a "very small amount of horse"!

She was a spoiled pony before we got her, but she has learned very fast how to be a well mannered pony, how to walk on a leech and how to carry a kid on her back. She is a very good partner for the young kids which are obviously beginners.

Cachou and Nymph were racing to see who will foal first and Nymph beated Cachou by 45 minutes ! We named Cachou's baby «Pistache» and she is the cutest Teddy Bear in town ! Irresistible, you can not stop to pet her... Pistache is friendly and curious, very curly and so small ! She was our first baby pony to be born here and we were not used to see such a small baby... until Pitchoune (see below, below Pirouette) birth. lol

Pistache is now wearing her winter curls - lot of curls ! - and she is growing into a very well built pony, with a sweet face, tender heart and mischievous sparkle in the eyes... but still small in height.
